Job description
One of our primary schools in Waltham Forest is seeking two SEND Teaching assistants to start immediately on a full-time basis.
Trials/interviews are taking place immediately.
You will be required to support students in EYFS - KS2 with autism and challenging behaviour.
The students will require support on a 1-1 and group work basis & will be from EYFS - KS2 with Autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour difficulties.
This position will be on a full time basis with a prompt start time of 8am-4pm
This position would ideally suit a teaching assistant with a degree specialism in a subject area such speech and language or psychology.
This is desirable but not a must as the school will also look to appoint a teaching assistant with excellent experience.

Experience working in EYFS & KS1-KS2
Experience working 1-1 with children with complex needs including autism & challenging behaviour
Willing to deliver or support Interventions (i.e. Attention Autism).
MUST:
- Be able to provide a fun and interactive environment for the students.
- Be seeking a permanent position.
- Willingness to undertake further training as required
Have experience or knowledge of Makaton and PECS.
- Have a real passion for supporting SEND students; see it more than just a job.
- Have career aspirations
