C# Development Team Leader, c 50% hands-on, Agile, c £65000 - 75000. Basingstoke, Hampshire and home based (the client operate a hybrid model and after induction you are likely to spend 1-2 days at their office near Basingstoke railway station and the rest of the week working from home).

Split of the role - c 50% hands-on coding - C# and associated technologies, including Full Stack and React on the Front End (training provided). 50% team leading - 1-2-1's, reviews, mentoring, waterfall to agile transition, managing a team of 6/7, etc.

Previous team leading experience is preferred however candidates who have mentored colleagues, performed peer reviews, etc and now want to get into a more formal team leading role will also be considered as training is available

My client, a software product company based near Basingstoke railway station, are looking for a hands-on development team leader to join their team. In this varied and challenging role you will spend 50% of your time coding and 50% managing a team of 6/7 whilst helping the business continue to develop their agile environment. You must therefore be technically strong and enjoy managing a team. Ideally you will have also transitioned from waterfall to agile and will understand both the challenges and benefits.

This is a key role where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference.

Key Tasks -

* Work closely with your team and manage and mentor where required (peer reviews).
* Translate epics/features/user stories into tasks, estimates and development plans.
* Spend c 50% of your time coding using your strong .net/C# skills. Additional knowledge of React (or similar) would be an advantage however training is available.
* Work with technical stakeholders and your team to ensure all tasks are clearly understood and that tasks are ordered appropriately in the sprints.
* Deliver robust software to external clients.
* Continue the transition of the team from a waterfall to agile environment.

Essential skills -

* Strong knowledge of C# Development.
* Agile and waterfall knowledge.
* Team leading and/or mentoring experience.
* Ability to work and lead in a high paced environment.
* Any of the following would be an advantage - React, cloud, Azure, CI/CD, React, Test Driven Development, SOLID etc.

To be considered for this role you will come from a C# development background with good knowledge of Agile. You will enjoy technically demanding work whilst improving business processes and mentoring teams.
