Our FTSE 250 client is looking for an experience Commercial Tooling Manager to join their team in Hatfield!

Permanent Position
Location: Hatfield
Salary: Competitive

In this role you will be responsible for our client's Group Information Services' (GIS) cost models and recovery charges, whilst ensuring alignment to company policies and principles. You will create and maintain a central repository to house these models and commercial artefacts. You will also be responsible for ensuring that regular review cycles take place, to ensure that costs are up to date and accurate.

How you fit in:

* As \"Commercial Tooling Manager\", you will report to the Commercial Manager within the GIS Enablement & Commercial function
* You will be the expert on commercial models within GIS, taking part in business reviews and recommending the best solutions
* You will help to shape and mature a new function and way of working
* Whilst initially you will have no direct reports, you should be ready to take online management responsibility in the future if required

What you're responsible for:

* Creation and regular review of cost models and recovery charges, coordinating small virtual teams to deliver in line with requirements
* Working with other business areas on the inclusion of GIS charges within the wider business commercial models
* Creating standard templates and documentation
* Documenting key information to ensure transparency, compliance and auditability
* Set up and maintain the commercial tooling repository, to house cost models and commercial artefacts
* Ensuring alignment with the wider business on cost models - how they are produced, governed, and stored
* Close alignment with financial team on policy and standards related to financial compliance
* Advising and providing support to colleagues to satisfactorily resolve queries, escalating where appropriate

The ideal candidate:

* Experience of working with cost models
* Advanced Excel (using Excel to solve complex tasks and experience of VBA)
* Commercial knowledge and expertise
* Analytical mindset
* Able to build relationships with stakeholders and be considered a trusted advisor
* Able to prioritise their workload and act under own initiative to meet business deadlines
* An understanding of IT technologies and services
* Able to express complex problems in a simple to understand way
* Reporting experience (PowerBI would be a bonus)
