We are looking for test engineers who want to use their skills to help the UK's largest government department deliver a once-in-a-generation change to our products and services. You'll make sure the products we build, maintain and modernise really work for the millions of people that use them.

You will be part of our Digital - Fraud Error and Debt function, and be responsible for delivering real value to both citizens and agents through digital services. We are looking to develop our capability through the use of automation, agile principles, and implementing modern tools and technologies to deliver high quality services.

You'll be comfortable testing all areas of our products including functional, business requirements, performance, security and accessibility testing.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

• Experience of working in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering products within specific time-scales and engaging with multiple Stakeholders;
• Agile Methodologies - with experience of BDD (behaviour driven development) and TDD (test driven development) processes, and an understanding of the key principles to develop a modern standards approach to testing.
• Able to design and execute a wide range of functional and non-functional testing techniques and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the development of automated test suites and tools including Java, Selenium v3.14.1+, Cucumber, Jenkins v2.11+, SOAP/REST WebServices/API testing.
• Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery - Methodology and tools (i.e. GIT, Gitlab CI).
• An understanding of the following test phases and standards associated to Performance Test, Accessibility Test, Security Test and Compatibility Test. Able to coach and mentor others.
