We have ambitious improvement targets and are looking for someone who can really deliver practical lean solutions. We are looking for someone who can deliver solutions, not just talk about them or the theories of lean!
As Process Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks such as investigating, sourcing and developing solutions to issues throughout the factory.
You will lead site operations, contributing towards improving manufacturing efficiencies by utilising lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques.

The Candidate

Degree level qualified in an Engineering discipline or equivalent education
Demonstrable knowledge of implementing lean manufacturing/continuous improvement
Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies and systems planning
Six sigma green belt qualification would be desirable
PRINCE2

The Role

The Continuous Improvement Engineer, working closely with the Manufacturing Manager will strategically implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools/ methodology throughout the manufacturing facility to continually improve the production process.
Be responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects, as well as mentoring Green Belts.
Identify and implement new technologies, specification of requirements, Capex justification, planning and implementation.
Liaise with external suppliers to ensure equipment and consumables used are appropriate to the operations and are the most efficient solution.
Implement 5s initiative to ensure that improvements are sustained and entrenched within the business.
Develop and optimise the most effective production planning to ensure machines and resources are utilised to their full capacity.
Use data capture systems to assess and drive change where required.
Continues development of the VMS reporting ensuring value added improvements are delivered.
Ensure the factory layout, both at macro and micro levels, is suitable for an efficient manufacturing process.
