White Label Recruitment are pleased to be working on an exciting new role with one of our SME clients who have big growth plans coming into 2022.

The company is looking for a highly motivated and accountable Engineering Draftsman to work on a large and exciting new project the company has just been awarded.

The Engineering Draftsman role is focused on creation of CAD models and Drawings to communicate information clearly. This requires large amount of communication with the Lead Design Engineer and Project Manager. You will be required to provide updates on progress internally and visiting sites if necessary.

You will be expected to work in line with the business Quality Management System (QMS) with a focus on continuous improvement of the company and products.

Responsibilities:

* 3D CAD design of highly complex products

* 2D Drafting

* Drawing Checking

* Pipe layout / routing

* Fabrication modelling and drafting

* Select suitable materials, surface finishes, coatings etc for the products intended use.

* Carry out design reviews with the team and/or customer.

* Carry out value engineering to engineer cost out of the products.

* Output accurate models, drawings, BOM's and other technical documents to customers, both internal and external.

* Check & sign off drawings in line with relevant drawing standards.

* Carry out engineering changes using revision control procedures.

* Manage non-conformances.

The client is seeking experience in the following areas:

* 2D & 3D CAD modelling & Drafting (Large Assembly SolidWorks Models) - Essential

* Knowledge of using 3D modelling techniques in a piping and instrumentation environment - Highly Desirable

* Good Knowledge of pressure related products - Desirable

* Usage of Document Management Systems (Solidworks PDM Professional). - Essential

* Proven experience of producing fabrication / manufacture drawings for frames, brackets machined items etc. - Essential

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes; machining, welding, surface treatments etc. - Desirable

* Experience in the design of containerised systems - Desirable

* Knowledge of high pressure tube design - Desirable

* Experience in producing site layout drawings - Desirable

* Ability to read and understand complex P&ID's - Desirable

* Time management and organization skills. - Essential

Experience & Qualifications:

* Proven working experience as a Design Engineer / Draftsman

* Experience working with bespoke systems / machine design and manufacture.

* Design of fabrications, electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics or associated supply.

* Industry experience: custom machine design / high pressure systems.

The company is paying £30-35k depending on the individuals experience, along with a company bonus scheme, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and flexible working hours.
