Primary school in Chorley seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to start in September on 1 year contract.

This primary school is OFSTED rated Good and has a very proactive and forward thinking Headteacher, therefore the school places great importance on the development of staff. Due to additional funding available next academic year, the Head has approached Hays seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to join the school in September on a 1 year contract.

Your new role
Reporting into SLT, you will be responsible for providing intervention sessions across KS1 and KS2, or just one of the above dependant on your experience. You will plan and deliver sessions, ensure these are challenging pupils where required and that all pupils are progressing their learning. You will work closely with class teachers around learners needs and run small groups to ensure intervention is successful and that pupils are ready for SATS. This is a 1 year contract initially, however there is a chance that this role could become permanent for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess intervention experience in either KS1 or KS2, potentially with some KS3 experience. You will be available to start in September and commit to a full academic year.
