Shared Lives Plus is the UK membership charity for more than 6,000 Shared Lives carers, 150 Shared Lives schemes and a growing network of over 25 local Homeshare organisations. Our vision is a kinder, stronger society built on sharing our lives and our homes. We help build communities where everyone lives a full life, regardless of the support they need. We do this by turning Shared Lives and Homeshare into thriving, mainstream options, with all the right structures in place to support and guide those who want to share their lives and homes.

Membership Support and Engagement Manager

This is an exciting new role to manage our support to carers and schemes across the UK. Shared Lives Plus helps our members to come together to develop the sector to survive and thrive, influencing local and national policy makers and providing support, training, events, resources, reserach programmes and access to insurance. High quality advice and information is given Shared Lives members on a range of issues through our website guidance and online forums, conference and webinars as well as specialist legal and benefits advice.

Job Duties Include:

To lead and manage our support and engagement for Shared Lives Plus members
To plan, co-ordinate and help deliver the Shared Lives Plus events calendar including webinars, regional meetings and annual conference.
To promote, develop and monitor take up of Shared Lives Commitment to Quality.
To keep up to date with relevant legislation or system changes which impact on Shared Lives Plus carers and respond accordingly.

The sucessful candidate will be educated to degree level or have relevant experience which demonstrates equivalent ability. Line management experience is essential along with experience developing and working with quality assurance and related programmes. Experience making presentations to a varierty of audiences along with event planning including virtual platforms is essential.

The role is flexible (with travel around the UK and regular meetings in our Head Office in Liverpool).

Initial interviews will be held on the 8th December 2021, with final interview process taking place week commencing 13th December 2021.
