What's the role?

As an Agile Delivery Manager you will work with multiple squads to deliver industry leading software solutions. These teams deliver the full stack suite, database, Back End and Front End, using a service based architecture. The software stack consists of LogicBlox, Postgres, Python and React and you will be expected to have a high level understanding of the architecture and technologies to be able to help guide delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate scrum ceremonies; planning, stand ups, retrospectives and reviews
• Applying scrum within a hybrid delivery model
• Guide sessions to shape upcoming work and deliveries
• Bring teams together to estimate the size of the upcoming work
• Work with Head of Engineering, Test Manager and other Delivery Leads to plan and schedule releases
• Resource and capacity planning across multiple squads
• Remove impediments and blockers for squads
• Facilitate inter team communication to identify and resolve dependencies
• Ability to adapt and be comfortable working within a dynamic environment
• Ability to counsel and motivate teams in the pursuit of deadlines
• Identify issues and risks in delivery, and propose solutions to those
• Encourage and foster closer collaboration between the development and product teams
• Help the team to improve how they work
• Comfortable discussing build pipelines, branching and pull requests with the teams
• Reporting status of epic and releases to senior stakeholders, including producing delivery plans
• Accountable for the delivery of EPICS
• Line management, including performance reviews, of developers
• Drive out root cause identification through appropriate tools and techniques. This involves complex data collection and analysis, metrics identification and cross-domain understanding. This complex analysis covers the entire development pipeline including requirements gathering, development metrics, QA metrics, technology environments, deployment processes and data from the live environment and analytics.

Experience:

• Proven track record in delivering projects and communicating progress and issues with all levels of the business.
• Certified Scrum Professional or equivalent (ie Scrum.org or Scrum Alliance qualifications)
• Worked in more than one company within an Agile framework
• Experience of effecting organisational change to achieve agility
• Agile techniques - User Stories, Continuous Integration, BDD/TDD, Pairing, Automated Testing
• Metrics in sprint delivery - burndown/burnup, incremental delivery, story points, cumulative flow
• Software development team experience
• Preferred experience of software delivery within financial services
