Comstor UK are recruiting a new Account Manager / Business Development Manager (external role) to join their Cisco team based in Cirencester. This is an amazing opportunity to accelerate your career in the IT Channel and support Cisco, one of our key vendors. You will be preferably based in the North of England and be prepared to travel. This role is remote with UK travel.You will provide product management & sales engagement to our partners. You will ideally understand Cisco strategy & goals or have gained experience with other similar vendors. The Business Development Manager is key in developing aligned strategies for the benefit of Comstor UK. You will participate in the execution of sales and marketing plans UK wide too.ABOUT THE ROLESalesMaintain and grow business with existing accountsSupport internal sales in managing account administrationConsult with customers in selling and supporting Comstor products and servicesProvide product presentations and sales training for assigned accountsManage demo stock requirements and evaluation stockPrepare partner plans and execute directlyIdentify cross selling opportunities within Comstor's products and services portfolioCreate value add opportunities for ComstorDevelop relationships with Vendor Account Management TeamsIdentify and establish new partners (e.g., call dormant accounts, obtain leads from vendors)Customer SupportKeep customers up-to-date with product-related informationCoordinate with training, marketing, business development, and product management to effectively support the customerEstablish productive Cisco relations to ensure quality of service to customersBusiness ManagementMaintain up-to-date profiles on accounts showing revenue projects and quotasGain general understanding of customer business and strategic plans as they relate to Comstor products and servicesMaintain relevant account information on CRM.Monitor performance of allocated accounts and identify areas of opportunityProvide support in sales presentations, products demonstrations, customer training, and solution deliveryConsult with appropriate internal resources for guidance and support in serving customersProvide & manage forecasts into Product ManagerWork at customer sites as part of engagement strategyAttend customer meetings as required, including any additional Comstor support as required ie: PresalesAdministrative/Self DevelopmentEnsure forecasts are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.Prepare business development plans for account set.Attend relevant internal and external product trainingMeet all reporting deadlines with accuracy (e.g., call reporting, pipeline reporting, etc).Attend all required internal and external meetingsMaintain and develop own knowledge of Comstor and Cisco product portfolioABOUT YOUKnowledgeGeneral knowledge of networking / UC / security and the UK IT Channel.Good understanding of the sales cycleDesired SkillsAcquiring & Qualifying BusinessDeveloping Customer RelationshipsFostering CommunicationDemonstrating Sales VersatilityCollaborating Cross-FunctionallyKnowing the CustomerDeveloping and Executing Sales StrategyKnowing Westcon's ProductsEnsuring Self-DirectionClosing the BusinessWorking with TechnologyQualificationsSome sales or account management experience gained working as an External Sales within the UK IT ChannelBackground with advanced customer service and complex sales environmentJoin a growing global businessWestcon-Comstor is a leading name in IT distribution with US$4.35 billion in global revenues.
