The Early Help Hubs work with families at an Early Help level as part of a 'team around a child' to offer advice and support so that parents can work towards improving outcomes and managing their lives more effectively.Workers will be part of a team based in the hubs, providing some support for services within the hubs but predominately be working in the community.The Early Help Worker role includes working on a one to one basis with families to focus on their strengths and to support them to move forward.The successful candidates will need to:Have a relevant level 3 qualification in work with children and familiesHave experience in working with children and families in a focused wayHave knowledge and experience of how to safeguard children and support vulnerable families.Be able to work as part of a teamBe organised, focused, able to work independently as well as part of a team and be able to adapt to changing need.Be knowledge and confidence in using IT systems to plan and record information and gather evidence of impact.About youYour style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning & improving the way you do things to ensure effective outcomes; valuing and respecting others' contribution, you will work together to deliver our service in the local community.You will be committed to partnership working within a multi-agency approach. Due to the nature of the role you will have a flexible approach, be self-motivated with good organisational skills and have the ability to use your initiative and work independently in order to solve problems in a creative way.You will ability to work within an inclusive approach to facilitate group interventions or engage individual families in the hub area.About the RoleAs an Early Help worker you will develop good working relationships with partner agencies to ensure a high quality, flexible service to family support and/or group interventions in relation to community involvement, health and well-being, parenting, and school readiness for families with children in the Early Help Hub area.You will be required to lead family support meetings and fulfil the case coordinator role for families as appropriate and promote the positive development of their children and young people using a solution focused approach.You may also have to undertake direct work with groups of families in the centre/ hub and the community which safeguards and promotes the positive development of their children and young people.As the role is predominately working with families flexibility will be required. The posts may require you to work between 8am and 6pm and weekends occasionally.
