If you possess excellent industry experience and knowledge and are considering a career change or move into education, please contact us for more information on how we can support you with this. The College can provide a range of support for applicants from industry including completion of an assessing qualification.

Trainer Assessors must be working towards or have achieved a relevant recognised assessor qualification such as a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and continue to practice to that standard. Assessors who hold earlier qualifications (D32 or D33 or TQFE/TQSE) should have CPD evidence to the most current standards.

They must be occupationally competent electricians. Evidence which supports this is by the assessor holding a relevant electro technical NVQ L3* and/or having registration with the JIB as 'Approved Electrician' status or Eng-Tech status via the IET.

Assessors who qualified before NVQs were developed should provide evidence of how they are occupationally competent (such as through a CV together with any relevant references).

An Electrical Installation Trainer/Assessor is required to carry out skills coaching in the workplace, conduct workplace assessments, reviews and set action plans for apprentices, including SMART Targets and deliver on professional qualifications at Levels 3 including embedding of Functional Skills (English and Maths as required). The role will also include IQA duties and so an IQA qualification is desirable.

We offer competitive pay and excellent rewards including:

  • Excellent annual leave for Assessors plus bank holiday allowance
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • A variety of health and wellbeing programmes
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Progressive career development and training opportunities
  • Work for a Top 100 Best Large Companies to Work For

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf.

The College is only accepting direct applicants for this role, no agency contact is required.
