Job description

Quantity Surveyor - £50k - £60K plus car allowance and large company benefits.

A number of Quantity Surveyors are needed for a Tier1 main contractor. These roles are an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor. These roles are all permanent and based in and around the Lincoln area. The focus of the role is to manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects. This is a great opportunity to work with a main contractor who are focused on developing individuals to help fast track their careers with huge opportunities for progression in the near future.

Key Responsibilities & duties:

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be supporting other more senior members of the commercial team in delivering the varied commercial duties as well as being responsible for procuring and managing our supply chain;

You will actively seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for our Customers;

*

Undertake the customer and stakeholder management for their area of responsibility.

Collation of cost and value information;

*

Measurement of works and agreements with subcontractors.

*

Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures.

Key skills:

*

Typically, a QS will be chartered or in the process of achieving professional membership of the RICS, ICES or CIOB and will be a peer role model for those less experienced members of the commercial team

*

Degree in Quantity Surveying or Math's.

*

Excellent analytical and number focused skills.
