Each division focuses on different services, from CCS and CTL supporting customers with sub contract manufacturing of cable and electro mechanical assemblies, to DEM designing and manufacturing electrical components and Tekdata in delivering high integrity, high performance cable harnesses.JOB FUNCTION AND SCOPETo develop and implement on a Sales Plan for Alpha3 Manufacturing in order to achieve or exceed Billings targets as set and agreed with the Sales Manager, byIdentifying new customers to generate new businessIdentify new projects at current customers to generate new business when requested by the sales ManagerTo follow up leads provided by the Sales ManagerTo service the customers requirements in a professional manner at all timesTo establish and manage pricing in achieving or exceeding Gross Margin targets as set and agreed with the Sales ManagerPlease note these roles require customer visits, as such travel within the North, Midlands and South of the UK would be expectedMAIN RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify target market sectors which best fit Alpha 3 capabilitiesIdentify new opportunities in south of England (M4 Corridor / South)Achieve agreed sales and financial targets - turnover and Gross marginTurn new opportunities at new customers - maintain quote log and visit reportsPrepare a professional quotation in writing within the timescale pre-determined by the customer.Manage and develop relationships with key target customers - visits to and visits fromEnsure cost effective management of business with regard to stocking, product obsolescence and new product introductionProvide accurate and up to date pricingMonitor sales performance highlighting risks and identifying actions to reduce or eliminate riskProvide updated information re market, customers & competition where applicableAdvise Marketing on new features and updates to the existing website and catalogueAnalyse all available management information to improve profitability and efficiency for all aspects of your responsibility.Produce and agree Sales budget and forecast information as requested by the Sales Manager.Produce monthly report for the Sales Manager in a timely manner to the agreed formatRegularly analyse and monitor the relevant business statistics to maximise the profitability and efficiency of the business.Provide information for Sales reviews for dates required to the agreed formatSKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCY LEVELQualifications / education required.Degree level qualification, in Electrical / Electronic engineering or compatible career development equivalentExperience required.Minimum two years commercial experience, ideally gained in electronic / electrical applicationsDemonstrable experience in delivering year on year sales growth or compatible equivalentSolid understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, and the needs of assigned accounts.Understands emerging market trends and interdependencies impacting customers; leverages understanding to expand relationships with own customers.Strong commercial and strategic experience working to performance targets.Strong people interface skills.Customer focused being proactive in addressing problems and realizing opportunitiesAbility to work to given timelines and within given guidelinesGood communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written.Good presentation and sales negotiation skills.Strong Project Management skills and experience.Proven track record of sales success within the Company's markets.Specialist training required.Proficient in the use of all Microsoft platforms and heavy user of CRM systems such as Sales ForceParticular aptitude / skill required.Conscientious at meeting deadlines.Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers.Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
