Job description

A local well established Engineering company have an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer, market leaders in their field they are looking for someone to join their successful team. The candidate will be providing test support to existing, new and one off products within the company. This role would suit an experienced test Engineer looking for the next step in their career, looking to take on an exciting challenge of developing a test department.
Responsibilities of the Test Engineer will include:
To conduct rigorous Electrical and Mechanical test practices and procedures, from component level to final assembly, across the full range of products with strict conformance to Production Plan performance time and quality targets.
To identify and resolve fault diagnosis issues, where possible, by adjustment or repairs.
To undertake basic assembly activities to assist testing processes
To highlight and drive the resolution of specification or design non conformance's through all relevant areas within the business
Raising the appropriate levels of non-conformance reports i.e. Observation Reports, Engineering Change requests etc in compliance with the Company Quality System and client guidelines.
Working to support and update supporting documentation i.e. test results and Validation
To build effective working relations with all departments, i.e. Design, Production, Quality etc to ensure maximum efficiency for the timely resolution of test related issues.
Analysing and processing data obtained from objective (& subjective) test assessments & benchmarking on wide range of off new and existing products.
Skills Required:
Relevant Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Qualification (preferred but could be offset against suitable experience)
Highly self-motivated Engineer or Technician with strong communication skills.
A Team player who not only works well with others but also using their own initiative when needed working alone
Confident reporting and detailing data
Must have a valid UK driving licence and
A flexible approach to work beyond normal hours as required.
Reasonable flexibility to support overseas or client site testing, overseas travel however will be minimal.
Good working knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engineering
Project and time management skills
