SEN Teacher of English

Your new School

This SEN school based near Norwich is looking for an English Teacher in the secondary phase to join the Department in September, the school are looking for a teacher who has the ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning of all students who study English in Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching up to and including GCSE Language and Literature. Familiarity with functional skills and entry-level syllabuses would be an advantage.

Your new role

Within your new role as a SEN English Teacher, you will be expected to support the implementation, development and delivery of the English Curriculum across the school, including; setting and monitoring targets, contributing to school planning, providing professional support to other teachers and support staff and advising the school's leaders on materials and resources

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position you will need to have, Qualified Teacher Status, PGCE or equivalent qualification and evidence of in-service training, experience of delivering a differentiated curriculum to students with a wide range of needs, knowledge and experience of supporting age range and of students with ASD and associated complex needs. Moreover, you would need to demonstrate the ability to remain calm and reflective when working in a challenging environment and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
