Job description

Evening Domiciliary Care Worker - Chamomile Care are seeking an evening Domiciliary Care Worker to work 1545 - 2200 Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Chamomile Care is a privately owned domiciliary care agency which has recently joined the industry. Our key players have a collaborative experience within the health and social care industry of some 36 years.

We would like to make a difference to the Care Worker's life, as well as our Service Users. We are a friendly bunch and our door is always open for Care Workers to come in and have a chat.

We aim to become leaders within the industry focusing on quality care for our Service Users and training and developing our Care Workers to a very high standard.

Chamomile Care offers a range of services to people who require help and support to remain independent in their own home, including personal care. All Service Users will have their own person-centred care plan, because everyone is different.

All Care Workers will receive the training and development that is necessary to meet the needs of the care plans, and will be supported to do any extra training that they would like to do.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Care Worker:

The role can include any of the following, the list is not exhaustive:

Personal care

Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming

Assist with continence care

Assist to eat and drink as well as meal preparation

Home support services

Provide light housework duties including laundry

Make beds, change linen

Run errands including shopping

Organise and tidy cupboards

Assist with pet care

Plan and prepare meals

Companionship services

Provide companionship and engage in conversation

Provide relevant feedback to the management team

Monitor diet and eating

Arrange appointments, activities and social engagements

Stimulate and encourage a variety of activities

Provide medication reminders and assist with medication when necessary

Organise mail and write letters

Accompany to appointments or activities

Health and Therapeutic care

You may be asked to provide basic assistance in these areas, but only with specific training and guidance from an appropriate professional.
