Job description

Are you interested in making an impact in the UK's journey to environmental rehabilitation? Join RWM as a Programme Manager to play a key role in the development of UK's Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) programme.

RWM's vision is to create a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.

RWM's mission is to deliver a Geological Disposal Facility and provide radioactive waste management solutions. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the NDA, RWM's programmes of work deliver Government Policy, and NDA Strategy, for radioactive waste management.

Joining the Waste Management Directorate you will take the lead on planning, managing and coordinating delivery of the Strategic Waste Programme.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Deliver and maintain all relevant programme documentation.
Coordinate projects within the programme including maintaining the full scope of the programme
Day-to-day delivery management of the Programme, including any Strategic Business Plans, Business Case Approvals, Delivery Plans, and programme policies.
Engage with the wider nuclear sector and bring relevant parties into the programme scope as and when required.
Provide strategic programme advice to the Principle and Senior Waste Strategy Specialists to support delivery of projects within the overarching programme.

Requirements:

Relevant Science or Engineering Degree
Proven high level of competence in Project, Programme and Portfolio Management.
Evidence of competence in the production of strategic- and operational-level PPM strategies, development plans and roadmaps
Proven ability to behave professionally in challenging circumstances, engage with a range of stakeholders to effectively drive change and proven leadership in challenging conversations involving multiple stakeholders.Your leadership and influencing skills, together with the ability to communicate complex messages to a wide range of audiences, will contribute to the team's ability to move the organisation forward in their mission of building a GDF.
