We're looking for an Academy Director with a passion for impacting and enabling the careers of talented individuals. We want to establish a brand new talent development programme and are looking for the right person to take ownership of this opportunity with a view to launching in 2022. About the roleAs the Academy Director, you will be establishing a brand new talent development programme that we aspire to be sector leading. Your aim is to first design an academy programme for people looking to break in to a career by gaining first hand experience building exciting products, designing and engineering elegant solutions across a multitude of departments. These could include but not limited to engineering, marketing, cyber security, design and product.
Academy participants will will have the opportunity to rotate across our 4 businesses: a digital product agency, a security consultancy, a product incubator and an ed-tech company. These businesses come with a wealth of product and client achievements, from developing a gamified cyber security learning platform to performing extensive digital forensics analysis. This means we will have a wide selection of opportunities to exploit that we feel can create an outstanding experience for those looking to up-skill.
Ultimately, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing and monitoring this academy from the ground up. We're looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to own such what will become an influential academy, that will inspire a new wave of cyber security professionals.
Key responsibilities- Scope and define the strategy and vision for the academy, along with the programme structure and day-to-day operations.
- Build a programme by collaborating with stakeholders across the group which fully utilises each business' specialties for the benefit of the participants.
- Autonomously manage the entire candidate journey, from sourcing to onboarding and monitoring of their progress. Plus, outcomes and next steps beyond the academy offering.
- Establish an effective performance monitoring and tracking system using competency frameworks to be able to continuously develop a participants strengths.
- Regularly evaluate and analyse the development of the programme, reporting on status, budget and performance.
- Own and drive the go-to-market strategy through various B2B and/or B2C channels, including building strong and lasting institutional partnerships where necessary.
- You'll have run at least one successful academy, graduate scheme or similar. This will have included, developing, designing and end to end management of the programme.
- You'll have tenacious drive and ambition. This project will be yours to own, and has the potential to impact huge number of people wanting to break into the industry.
- You'll have a passion for people development and learning. Creating ambitious, formative and powerful experiences for people will drive you forwards.
- You'll have exceptional project management and organisational skills. You'll be the kind of person who thrives managing a workload across multiple areas, whether that's sourcing the new intake of candidates or preparing and presenting the status update.
