About the role

Calling all Commercial Managers.

Our client is entering one of the most exciting times in their history, and they are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team. We are looking for someone that oozes our client's values and embraces the ongoing ways of working.

The role of the commercial manager includes the financial management of projects, negotiating and agreeing contracts and verifying employee performance. You'll also need to have good risk management skills as well as financial reporting abilities.

Our client is currently looking to hire into their commercial management team, please read on! You can also ask our friendly recruitment team any questions you may have about the role, between 9:00-5:30 Monday to Friday.

This opportunity is for someone to join to support the profitable growth of our client's business in line with long range plan (LRP) targets by providing high quality commercial support and governance, with particular emphasis on major \/ complex bids.

We're looking for someone who understands proposals end to end and who can provide cross-function challenge and support to wider bid team through creative thought leadership to drive higher win rates.

You'll be handling several bids and customer opportunities at any one time and will need to work to tight timescales whilst developing excellent customer understanding and building strong customer peer relationships.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (9.00am - 5:30pm)

The must haves:

* Previous experience and demonstrable achievement in a pricing or commercial finance role, ideally within the IT\/Telecoms B2B market.
* Worked closely with or had previous experience in a product management\/marketing or sales environment.
* Proven experience in project-based environment, working to defined and often ambitious timescales with interdependency with other functions\/workstreams.
* Highly numerate (advanced Excel) plus proven financial modelling and analytical experience.
* A proficient knowledge of financial performance metrics e.g., margins, NPV, IRR, payback etc and ability to explain financial assumptions, models, and investment appraisal.

Other stuff we're looking for:

* Educated to degree level or equivalent, professional financial qualification or equivalent desirable.
* Advanced use of Microsoft Office Applications & Windows environments.
* Knowledge of the telecommunications market either through direct experience or potentially through a consultancy-based role.
