Facilities & Maintenance Manager
Permanent
Day shifts Monday - Friday

Are you and experienced Facilities & Maintenance Manager? Do you have experience working in a fast paced environment? If so, our client is a leading business who produce components for the automotive industry.

Facilities & Maintenance Manager - Role Responsibilities:

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities
Responsible for the Facilities and Maintenance of the manufacturing plant, overseeing maintenance engineers and controls/software engineers
Responsible for the facilities, layout and machinery are all optimised to run at maximum efficiency
Responsible for the strategy maintenance policies, including strategy and processes and procedures
Also responsible for people management and financial and budget controlPeople Management

Manage, coach and develop a high performing Maintenance team
Set department objectives/KPIs and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of the team
Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability
Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels
Motivate and coach the team to operational success
Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments
Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan

Facilities & Maintenance Manager - Essential Skills/ Qualities:

Extensive manufacturing plant level experience with significant proven man management experience
Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/ electrical/ electronic discipline
Experience of leading and working with facilities management
Experienced with ISO 14001 Environmental requirements and standards.
Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for facilities and maintenance
