An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Healthcare Administrators to join our busy administration team in the Telford Musculoskeletal Service (TeMS) at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust, which has a vision for the future of the musculoskeletal health and well-being of its community.
TeMS is an Assessment and Treatment service which aims to get patients the most appropriate treatment in the shortest time possible. You will be part of the Single Point of Referral function and will carry out a variety of department administrative duties for both the Clinical and Administrative teams to support this aim.
The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge whilst working within a friendly and established team; you will be a valuable member of the team who will be supported to achieve a wide range of duties and tasks.
You may on occasions be required to work at other locations which could entail travelling between locations.
You will be accurate and organised and required to undertake a variety of administrative duties. You should be computer literate, have excellent communication skills, a pleasant telephone manner and the ability to work as part of a team with attention to detail.
The post involves general administration tasks including managing enquiries and communicating with service users and healthcare professionals either on the telephone or face to face within our service. You don't need to have worked in healthcare before as long as you possess the above qualities and are willing and eager to learn new skills; we will provide in-house training and support.

*** Important information regarding DBS checks *** If the position being applied for requires a DBS check to be undertaken on you, you are required to pay the fee for the DBS check which is £50.00 for an Enhanced check and £30.00 for a Standard check
Staff who are new to the NHS will normally start on the bottom increment of the payscale advertised. From 1st April 2019 new starters to the NHS or those promoted to a new role will be subject to pay progression arrangements as contained in Annex 23 of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions.

Non-clinical Bank Workers - A minimum of 1 assignment must be undertaken in a 6 month period and you must attend any training you are notified of.
