Hours of Work: 36 Hours Per Week - Temporary 12 months
Salary: £37,761 pro rata per annum, plus essential car user allowance
Location: Within all properties maintained and managed by the Wrekin Housing Group, including but not limited to, Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Midlands.

The Role:
A key responsibility of an Interim Fire Category Lead Engineer is to ensure suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments are completed. You will also support the Fire Safety Category Manager in the delivery of service and maintenance to fire safety systems in our property stock in line with legislation.
The successful candidate will be able to provide technical knowledge for maintaining fire safety compliance across the Group and also ensure accurate records are kept up to date.
The role will cover all building trade based functions, including but not limited to: fire door inspections, roof construction, basic gas and electrical works and assisting with the installations of tanks or cylinders.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS Check
What you will need:
It is essential that the successful candidate is in possession of qualifications, skills and comprehensive knowledge of all legislation and standards in relation to fire safety. They must also be able to show experience working within a fire safety environment previously and hold an accredited qualification in fire risk assessment.
It is desirable that the successful candidate is qualified to or working towards full chartered membership or equivalent level in a suitable professional body such as the institution of fire engineers. A fully driving licence is also essential for this role.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of fire safety and the building legislation/ regulations alongside knowledge of all aspects of fire safety from construction to vacation.
