How can you change it up?

The Senior Platform Engineer is a key member of the NetOps Squad, responsible for leading a team of NetOps engineers in designing and building an automated network monitoring system as well as automated configuration tooling. You'll ensure the systems work in a performant way.

As you are working within an agile/Kanban framework, a clear drive for delivery is required. You'll provide technical leadership with the squad and department within the NetOps domain. Some of your key responsibilities will be:

* Leading a squad of developers to implement a NetOps strategy for monitoring and configuration of our network

* Leading the technical design of the Network Monitoring systems

* Delivering new features to a very high quality by consistently reviewing other developers code and communicating/providing feedback when required

* Producing highly scalable and performant software

What will you bring to the role?

You will have significant industry experience with NetOps, monitoring and automation at scale of network management, as well as experience with monitoring services such as Splunk. We are looking for someone who can absorb new ideas and concepts quickly, putting them into practical use. You will also need to demonstrate a strong understanding of network architectures, technologies and protocols.

It will be beneficial if you have experience with one or more of the following:

* Python

* Ansible/Terraform

* Behaviour Driven Testing

* Kanban frameworks

You will also need at least 5 GCSEs graded A* - C. It is ideal that you also have an IT-related degree or a DevNet certification.
