Summary
A Vacancy at NHS Stafford and Surrounds Clinical Commissioning Group.

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Clinical Commissioning Groups are seeking to recruit an Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) Project Support Manager

About us

Our six CCGs, Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, North Staffordshire, South East Staffordshire, Stafford and Surrounds and Stoke on Trent are responsible for planning and commissioning high quality health services for the people of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

We have strong clinical leadership and work as part of a complex system of health and social care, which includes Local Authorities, Providers, the Independent Sector and GP practices.

The NHS Long Term Plan confirmed that all parts of England would be served by an Integrated Care System from April 2022, and we are now ready to function as an ICS. A statutory health and care partnership, made up of a wider group of organisations, will bring together a wider group of partners to develop overarching plans across health, social care and public health in our area.

The role

Job title Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) Project Support Manager

Band 5(£25,655to £27,780) "draft subject to evaluation"

Hours Full Time (flexible working arrangements available)

Location Home Based and home working (majority of posts). However, there may be occasions when you will be required to attend a location hub, usually this will be pre-planned in advance, and with a days' notice

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the EPRR Team for an EPRR Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to join us who is willing to go that extra mile and to be part of a successful and effective team.

We are a friendly team who work hard to deliver good outcomes for patients; we cover for each other when needed and pride ourselves in our collaborative approach and partnership working.

Over the next six months there will be some very wide ranging changes to the NHS and the six Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Clinical Commissioning Groups will become a single Integrated Care System NHS Bodies (ICBs) with a significantly expanded range of statutory duties. At the same time the new organisation is still in "major incident" response mode, reflecting upon, learning from and making changes as a result of the pandemic and ensuring readiness for an ever increasing range of potential emergency incidents.

We are looking for someone who thrives in an environment where priorities, often shift at short notice, who can work independently on multiple projects with tight deadlines but when necessary operate as part of a wider team dealing with an ongoing major incident.

The successful candidate will have an aptitude for supporting and delivering multiple projects simultaneously in an environment where requirements or objectives might change very quickly.

If you are interested in the post and can demonstrate the key skills and abilities outlined for the role we would love to hear from you. If you would like to discuss the post in more detail, please contact; Mark Doran, Senior Strategic Commissioning Lead (CCG Strategic lead for EPRR),

Interviews will take place via Microsoft Office Teams or another virtual means of contact

Applicants are asked to note that a government White Paper on the NHS System Reforms will shortly appear before Parliament, which could result in the disestablishment of CCGs after 31st March 2022, with the CCG functions potentially transferring to a newly established statutory Integrated Care System (ICS) organisation from 1st April 2022
