My client is a highly regarded full-service IP firm. Its top-level team of intellectual property attorneys and solicitors provide exceptional and complete service to the firm's prestigious and versatile client base.

As it continues to grow, it is now looking to develop its renowned support team by appointing a Patent Administrator. This crucial role provides a brilliant opportunity to pursue an exciting and versatile career in intellectual property through one of the best IP firms in the country.

This is a crucially important role within the firm that brings with it a wide array of responsibilities such as the drafting of letters and emails, preparing documents and maintaining files via the firm's document management system. Further duties entail the handling of official documents and monitoring deadlines. You will also prepare patent applications, send reminders and extensions to fee earners, along with reporting patent publications to clients, updating and maintaining the firm's record system and client database and preparing and sending invoices.

You will be responsible for arranging meetings and travel arrangements for the fee earners, as well as liaising with clients, fee earners and the renewals team. You will report to a partner of the firm.

Person Specification
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Excellent problem solver
  • 3+ years of IP experience
  • CIPA qualified
  • Inprotech and Microsoft Office experience would be advantages
