A two-form entry primary school in Sutton is currently recruiting for a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to work with students with a range of needs. This is a full time, term time only permanent opportunity, to start as soon as possible.

This school, rated good in its most recent Ofsted, is part of a federation of primary schools that works closely together to ensure their students have access to the best education and endless opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Staff work together across the federation to share resources, and have access to extensive staff training, CPD programmes and support. There is an emphasis on internal promotion, and opportunities for career progression within the school and federation.

The school is looking for a nurturing Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working with children with SEN. The role will involve working with students with a range of needs, on a 1:1 basis as well as working with small groups of children, both within and outside the classroom.

The successful candidate will:

• be degree qualified and/or hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification
• Have previous experience working with children with a range of additional needs, in particular ASD
• Have excellent communication skills and great teamwork
• Have a positive, patient and compassionate approach

The school is located in a lovely residential area of Sutton. It is easily accessible by public transport and offers on site parking for staff.
