IT Systems Analyst

Salary circa £31,000 depending on experience.

We have a brilliant opportunity for a dynamic and focused IT Systems Analyst to join us in our friendly Support Centre in Rubery, this role would be ideal for someone with experience of IT within a similar role.. Reporting into the Business Systems Architect, this is a challenging role within an ever changing and growing business providing fantastic opportunities to learn and grow and the satisfaction of seeing how you have helped make the business run more effectively.

The client are a specialist, outcome focused provider of support for people with Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities, Autism and Acquired Brain Injuries. We work in partnership with commissioners to deliver responsive, flexible, specialist support in therapeutic, registered residential and supported living settings across England and Wales. Our individual support plans aim to provide the people we support with more choice and control over their own lives.

As IT Systems Analyst you will:

• Build an understanding of how the various software platforms we use are linked together
• Learn how to configure and maintain business systems
• Support end users by helping them to get the best out of our IT systems
• Ability to collect, interpret and cleanse data
• Under the guidance of the business systems architect, will further develop the integration between systems
• Create web based applications to remove any gaps within our IT systems
• Assist in providing reports to the business using SSRS and a combination of SQL and SSAS data sources

We are looking for an IT Analyst who has:

• Experience of working with SQL, SSRS, SSAS, MDX, C# and JavaScript
• Degree in Computer Science would be an advantage but is not essential
• Attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Problem solving skills
• Able to use initiative
• Creative thinker who can think outside of the box to find resolutions

Essential Technical skills

• Good understanding of SQL, specifically MSSQL

Desirable Technical skills

• Knowledge of SSRS
• Knowledge of Power BI
• Fundamentals of software design
• C#
• Javascript
• JASON
• SSAS - MDX Queries
• SSIS
• Xamarin

• Self starter

Day to Day responsibilities

• Dealing with technical issues associated with the commercial software systems we use.
• Run accurate and timely standard and ad hoc reports
• Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion
• Report writing in line with business requests.
• Maintenance of existing integration between systems.
• Produce documentation for systems and processes
• Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
• Answering system related support queries from end users

Ad Hoc Responsibilities

• Developing in house solutions to fill gaps not covered by existing systems
• System configuration changes in line with changing business needs.

Desirable experience

• Working knowledge of care sector
• Commercial experience involving software support
• Commercial experience involving software design

Qualifications

• Computer Science Degree or equivalent knowledge gained from previous work experience.
