This nursery has been assessed to be 'outstanding' by Ofsted. Therefore, this nursery has an outstanding reputation and provides extensive quality education for all their pupils. This nursery is located in the Finchfield area.

This nursery has an amazing team who are all committed to meeting children's development and care needs. They nurture, challenge, and encourage every child as they develop and grow. The large team at this nursery are tasked with developing the knowledge, abilities and social skills of children from birth to 5 years old, giving them the best possible start to their education. This nursery also has pre-school uniforms, helping children make the transition to big school more easily.

Your New Role

The role of Nursery Room Manager at this nursery requires enthusiasm, imagination, and the ability to be held accountable. Being an energetic individual who can help children reach their full potential is key to being successful in this role. The ability to make the room a wonderful place for both staff and students is also key. The ability to develop and implement lessons and work schemes and provide a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as coaching and mentoring abilities as you will be responsible for looking after teachers aswell as pupils. The ability to use your own initiative, your experience and professionalism to build on their good work is required.

You will be responsible for assisting the nursery manager with several duties such as: Inductions for new staff and helping them ease into the nursery, providing feedback on any issues within the nursery and the arrangement of outings for the children in the nursery. Awareness of general responsibilities such as understanding of children's development and their needs, awareness of equal opportunities issues, special needs, and requirements of students and health, hygiene and safety in the workplace.

We supply the school with day-to-day, short term and long-term staff. To start with, this will be a temporary role with shifts available throughout the six weeks holidays and in September 2021. This will be a flexible role, both part-time and full-time opportunities depending on your availability. The nursery opening hours and potential working hours will be 8:00\/8:30 - 18:00. However, more information on hours will be discussed when given role.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have recent experience working and caring for children under 5 as well as the willingness to undertake relevant childcare qualifications in the future is desirable but not required. You will need to be confident and engaging whilst demonstrating a professional manner. A list of key skills are adaptability, creativity, patience, responsibility, resourcefulness, and a good sense of humour. You will need strong communication skills, especially when working with groups of children. Finally, a passion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities.

You will also need to provide references that cover at least 40 days in a school within the last 2 years.
