Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are recent experience obtained within the last 2 years of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting. We must be able to obtain references from these roles.

Contract dates
The role is due to commence from January 2022.

The Role

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Primary Teacher (Special Needs)to work in a local school, starting in January 2022. Working in a friendly and supportive specialist setting, this is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified or more experienced practitioner.

The role will involve supporting a number of mixed ability pupils who may also require additional SEND support. You will be tasked with collaborating with staff to support the curriculum across the school. In addition you will be able to display a range of skills and ability to know when to use them appropriately in a diagnostic context to develop basic literacy and numeracy skills in young people with special needs.

The school caters for secondary aged students who may require additional support or are working to a lower level of learning. It offers brilliant facilities, resources and staff pride themselves on their child-centred approach. It is easily accessible from Huddersfield and surrounding areas.

Requirements

To be considered for the Primary Teacher (Special Needs) role you must:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have some knowledge or previous experience of SEND
Be adaptable and flexible
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
