Introduction…
We are looking for an Electrical Technician to join an O&M Company who are operating across the Saltend Chemicals Park in Hull.

Roles & Responsibilities
As the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:

Investigation, troubleshooting, planned repairs, predictive & preventative maintenance, installation and fault finding of electrical equipment.
Assist the Maintenance Lead and Instrument & Electrical Engineer in the identification, specification and purchase requisition of spares necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.
Produce and contribute to maintenance procedures, work plans, project scope documents and contractor work scopes.
Work alongside other members of the site and assigned contract Engineering, Maintenance and/or Operations teams to review method statements, risk assessments & other required safety documentation.
Working collaboratively with other 3rd party contractors and organisations.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Time-served electrical apprenticeship
NVQ 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
Working knowledge of electrical systems: electrical starters, motor control centres, earthing systems, and electrical protection methods & testing.
Work experience in a similar industry such as a Refinery, COMAH plant, Power Station etc
Experience in the installation, maintenance, modification and reliability of all electrical equipment in a research environment e.g. analytical systems, small bore high temperature high pressure catalyst testing units, autoclaves, high throughput vendor supplied catalyst screening rigs, pilot plant scale operations and their associated infrastructure.
Ideally familiar with Electrical Design Regulations including BS7671 as well as a familiarity with working in a Hazardous Area (ATEX / COMPEX)
