Job description

This challenging and exciting opportunity requires an individual with demonstrable hands-on experience in the role of an M&E Site Manager. The successful candidate must live in the Leeds area.

Our client is one of the UK's leading specialist contractors, renowned for providing technically advanced and cost-effective solutions across the energy, infrastructure, water efficiency, building services, M&E systems, renewable technology, CHP, ground and air source heat pumps, communal and district heating systems, and commercial plant rooms.

Due to the recent award of a number of significant framework programmes, and a dedication to continued profitable, ambitious and long-term growth across the UK, our client is now seeking to appoint an M&E Site Manager to take total responsibility for contracts in and around the Leeds area.

The Role

* To direct the necessary labour, plant, staff, and equipment to achieve project completion on time, to specification and within budget.

* Manage the operations team by monitoring performance against contract targets and instigating any necessary corrective actions

* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations

* Meeting with clients and building relationships through providing a quality service to high standards

* Managing sites including monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control

* Responsible for achieving or exceeding pre-set KPI criteria

* Management of all site facilities

* Management of RAMS

* Address any queries or complaints in a timely manner

* Attending and contributing to weekly operational meetings

* Maintain records in line with company procedures ensuring compliance with GDPR

The Person

* Previous site experience managing commercial or domestic M&E installations is essential

* Relevant knowledge of building legislation and HSE regulations

* Ability to manage and interact sensitively with others

* Using computers and computer systems to enter data, produce reports and process information

* Pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to work alone and as part of a team to achieve common objectives

* You will possess a CSCS, SMSTS and Emergency First Aid certifications, along with extensive site management experience

* A full driving licence and transport is essential

* The successful candidate will display the correct attitude and behaviour, job knowledge and effective communication to build good working relationships, establishing and maintaining communication channels throughout the Company

* Good IT Skills, including Microsoft Office, and a full UK driving licence

* Confident manner, with ability to work to deadlines, whilst remaining focussed

* A good communicator able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations

* Able to work under pressure and prioritise your own workload
