Data Solution Architect - \u00A365000 - Leeds

Hays Technology are looking for a Data Solution Architect to join our large private sector client in the centre of Leeds to join their Corporate Strategy and Business Transformation team. You'll be in a team of talented data engineers, data architects and data management specialists to ensure that they are sourcing and structuring the data needed by their analytics teams and the data we use is fit for purpose.

What you will be doing:

* You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the enterprise data architecture that meets the data governance, regulatory & business requirements.
* You will Design and develop complex data models that will enable the Service Delivery leadership team to make decisions and influence the growth of our products.
* You will own the development of data models, taxonomies and ontology for data & metadata supported by the team, to ensure we are best utilising available data.
* You will Highlight and act upon any opportunities you have identified in utilising existing and new data sources.
* You will be innovative in combining data sources to produce coherent, robust and extensible data models that are fit for purpose and enable the creation of new insight.
* You will liaise with senior stakeholders to promote and drive the consumption of outputs in ad-hoc or long-term engagements.
* You will define common reference data and hierarchies relevant for BI purposes in collaboration with Data Stewards, Analysts and Business SME's to agree and ratify these data sets.

Who you will be working for:

While you will be based in Leeds, This organisation provides the capability for over 500 Communications Providers to provide service, broadband and data services to consumers and businesses across the UK. Their network covers 30 million customers and 8 million broadband lines from approximately 5,500 local exchanges. Broadband connections have become a necessity to customers at home and at work and the demands of their infrastructure reflect that importance.

What we are looking for:

* University degree in a numerate course such as: computer science \/ programming, or statistics.
* Be a certified TOGAF\/Zachmann practitioner or hold a DAMA accreditation.
* You will be skilled in data architecture methodologies and frameworks and have experiences in Business Intelligence tools to turn raw data into information that feeds analysis initiatives and trials.
* Have significant experience in writing SQL and extensive use of an industrially recognised data wrangling platform.
* Have created data quality metrics, monitoring processes and data quality assessments
* A clear understanding of how the outputs can be implemented\/delivered and absorbed into the business.
