Care and Support Assistant
The Gables, Redcar
£9.79
37.5 hours per week, including evenings, nights and weekends

We are seeking a Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Our Redcar and Cleveland Services support adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues. This a great opportunity for enthusiastic and positive people to join our like-minded, hardworking and client-focused team.
The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:
Providing a high quality, personalised care and support service
Delivering expert support to residents including the sensitive delivery of personal care, whilst ensuring their privacy, dignity and independence is maintained
Assisting residents to become a part of the wider community, by supporting regular social and leisure activities and opportunities
Encouraging residents to lead fulfilling lives
Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
Implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our residents
Skills and experiences:
Experience of working in a similar, care related role is desirable
Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong "can-do" attitude
Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
