HR Administrator

Ref: 6163

Hours of work: 19 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
Working days / pattern to be discussed at interview / offer.

Duration: This post is fixed term to provide maternity cover for up to 12 months or upon the return of the post holder, whichever is the earliest.

Salary: £9,412 - £9,753 per annum

Location: Based at the Wakefield City Campus. Hybrid working options to be discussed at interview.

This is an excellent opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our supportive and friendly HR team. It is a fast paced and busy environment within the HR team at Wakefield College, where you will learn something new every day. Our HR team is responsible for recruiting and developing employees, handling employee relations and processing payroll / benefits. As a HR Administrator, your duties will extend across the usual range of HR administration tasks such as the preparation of contractual change documentation, supporting attendance management, updating and maintaining the HR system and records, dealing with queries and handling confidential and sensitive data.

As a HR Administrator, you should have:

GCSE grade A*- C / 9 - 4 or equivalent in English and Maths
Experience of office administration processes and procedures, along with high levels of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
Experience of working in a similar fast paced office environment
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
The ability to manage your own time and prioritise day to day workloads, as well as a flexible and adaptable manner, plus plenty of initiative
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
