Explore where the path takes you. The Senior Accountant - Team Lead reports directly to the EMEA and APAC Controller. The role is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and statutory books for the Netherlands. In addition, the position will oversee the work of the EMEA Shared Services team (AP, AR and Collections). ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform monthly P&L review and analysis and balance sheet reconciliations Review general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries Owns the Blackline Administration for EMEA and APAC Responsible for Statutory Accounting books for the Netherlands Prepare and review month-end journal entries Assist with audit preparations (internal/external) Help define, formalize, and maintain finance and accounting policies and procedures Understand and apply accounting principle, policies, and procedures Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and implement changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency Play an active role in team projects in order to improve internal processes and procedures Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management Knowledge of finance, accounting, revenue recognition, and cost control principles Comfortable with fast-paced environments and building relationships with internal stakeholders Able to independently analyze financial records and be a clear communicator to the team Excellent Microsoft Excel skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Intellectual curiosity & problem-solving skills a must ABOUT ACCRUENT Accruent is a global software company that helps organizations achieve superior performance by transforming how they manage their physical resources.
