DATA ENGINEER: Real Time Financial Trading Systems

Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Permanent Opportunity | English Speaking | Sponsorship Given - No remote working

Basic salary of up to 80,000 + a bonus and benefits

BONUS UP TO 100% of Basic! - OTE up to 160k

Financial or Trading Real Time Data Engineer/Python/Hadoop/SQL, Spark, Java/Data Streaming/Linux/Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipeline/Atlassian Stack (Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence etc)/Data Science, Data Analyst collaboration.

This is an opportunity for a DATA ENGINEER with experience of Real Time, High Volume, High Transactional Data Systems ideally with Electronic Financial experience to join one of the top 10 Financial Trading companies and the World of high bonusses with the opportunity to earn up to 160,000 Euros per annum.

This trading company obviously operates in Real Time dealing with huge quantities of data and volumes of transactions in a fast-paced Agile environment with ultra-low latency, high frequency, scalable systems.

We are looking for a DATA ENGINEER to work in a Senior capacity to maximise the value of Corporate Data, to maintain the data infrastructure and data intensive applications. Working closely with Quantitative Traders and Fundamental Analysts, you will ultimately be responsible for data availability.

WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

- You must have the confidence, clarity of communication and process leadership, that such a position requires.

- Strong Scripting Skills in PYTHON or JAVA (interview includes a technical assessment in either).

- SQL, Spark

- Hadoop (Cloudera a plus)

- Streaming data processing

- Linux

- Maven, Git

- Atlassian Stack (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence)

- Bitbucket for code review
