Job description

The Executive Vice President of Marketing will lead the marketing efforts for both Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers and Brakes Plus Complete Auto Service operating with nearly 400 locations across the United States and growing rapidly. The EVP - Marketing is a key member of the executive leadership team who will drive impact for the business through car count growth and brand loyalty.


This is a full-time position, reporting to the company's President, based in Birmingham, Alabama.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop the strategy and oversee execution of all marketing activities including customer acquisition, retention, creative, brand communications, PR, and marketing analytics
  • Lead a high-performing Marketing team to continue to be innovative, collaborative, and highly skilled in their respective focus areas
  • Own a multimillion dollar marketing budget, forecasting, metrics and delivery against business goals; Accountable for efficiently delivering revenue targets while building long term brand value as measured by brand awareness, consideration, and lifetime value
  • Act as a primary point of contact for all marketing related activities with Franchise community
  • Oversee all campaigns - big and small - from conception through to launch and ongoing optimization
  • Refine and formalize brand positioning, messaging and measurement frameworks, as well as their ongoing application across our full funnel campaigns and strategies
  • Lead development and implementation of attribution approach appropriate for our size and scale in order to allocate spend and measure performance across channels and consumer segments
  • Lead development of consumer segmentation and channel strategies informed by attribution analysis
  • Understand, analyze and report on marketing performance cross-functionally as well as with senior leadership and the board
  • Be a collaborative and consumer-centric steward of the brand internally and externally, ensuring all channels and departments are working toward the same brand vision
  • Evaluate marketing trends and competitive activity to ensure EOC/BP marketing is effectively connecting with consumers and driving profitable traffic and sales into our stores
  • Build and drive roadmaps to connect the brands through all marketing channels that are aligned with the total customer experience
  • Build and scale a world-class, digitally savvy marketing organization, with a skillset to match the next generation of marketing tactics


Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of marketing leadership experience. Experience in a VP/CMO/Head of Marketing role with a consumer driven business or brand preferred
  • Experience building and scaling a consumer brand(s) nationally
  • Experience establishing clear and effective metrics and a measurement framework to approach marketing channels and investment strategy
  • Experience utilizing digital channels and tools to build a brand, customer base, and community-driven business growth
  • Experience building integrated marketing framework and messaging strategy, and communicating and socializing to the entire organization
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; MBA, and/or relatable advanced degree is preferred
