The Dothan Eagle is seeking great candidates for our Advertising and Digital Sales Coordinator. This person is responsible for working closely with various members of the Advertising team to ensure purchased advertisements are run and billed correctly and supports the team as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Service sales teams with advertising needs consistent with quotas and standards established by management. Follow up on all requests and answer questions as needed.
  • Complete and fill out all advertising ad order entries accurately and efficiently
  • Manage traffic and workflow for all ad campaigns and billing. Ensure that ads go live on time, are billed correctly and run as scheduled.
  • Input all billing into Adbase for ad campaigns as directed by account executives and the director of local sales.
  • Back up other members of the ad ops team members and perform their job duties when needed.
  • Participate in training initiatives.
  • Address the sales teams' needs and or problems in a professional and courteous manner providing appropriate solutions.
  • Present a professional and helpful behavior and attitude to customers, peers & staff.
  • Expected to complete any training necessary on software or equipment upgrades.
  • Operate computer of entering, editing, storing retrieving and printing information such as memos, lists, reports, correspondence, and email.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of departmental office procedures, policies, and operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Able to react to change effectively, productively and handle essential duties as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and record keeping skills
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
  • Must have excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to work under pressure and within established sales goals and deadlines
  • Proficient in data entry; working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task while also demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Learn to utilize the CRM management tool, Mactive, AdBase, and other critical ad systems.
  • Requires professional dress and conduct at all times.
  • Ability to get along well with co-workers while promoting a positive work environment with others
  • Must have acceptable attendance and punctuality, may be required to work flexible schedule to accommodate

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum one year support experience.
  • Proven customer service background and experience.
  • Digital advertising and marketing knowledge preferred.
