The Systems Electrical Engineer develops requirements, researches, plans, develops, analyzes and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including displays, sensors, processors, interface units and other electronic devices such as; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. Candidates should have some experience with reverse engineering and component obsolescence. Experience with Military Avionics or radar systems is highly desired.
Responsibilities
* Perform requirements management using industry tools such as DOORS or organic tools
* Conceptualize, analyze, design, and oversee semi-complex systems level architecture design.
* Follow internal systems engineering procedures for carrying out various SE responsibilities
* Assist Senior Engineers with the integration of complex systems
* Component obsolescence analysis
* Develop Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), and run validation testing
* Participate in design reviews
* Manage an Engineering Project, controlling cost, schedule, and technical risk
* Create procedures for carrying out various systems engineering tasks
* Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
* Proficiency with requirements management using tools such as DOORS or organic tools
* Proficiency with Technical writing and development of Statements of Work (SOW)
* Component obsolescence analysis
* C++, LabVIEW and Test Stand Preferred
* Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience is a plus
* Proficient in MS Office include MS Projects
* Working knowledge of electrical analysis packages
Education:
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience required
Specific Degree Field: Systems/Electrical Engineering
NOTE: Ability to get a DOD Security Clearance is a plus
