Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.
The Position:
The Advanced Finance Analytics Manager will be responsible for leading the team tasked with managing and analyzing the costs and products in support of the enterprise compute environment. This highly visible role will partner with Technology Infrastructure and Finance leadership to provide product cost transparency critical to the effective management of these environments. The information provided by this team will help inform leadership of options as the organization works to implement, execute, and transform in alignment of the Hosting Strategy. Specifically, this role will be responsible for advancing the understanding and transparency of the unit rates for the current and future application hosting environments. The candidate must have a strong FinOps background and the ability to stand up proper governance to support the unit cost tracking and analysis. Strong technical abilities with knowledge of financial FinOps tools, preferably Apptio, will be critical for this role. This position will be expected to influence and partner across the Technology and Finance Organization to enable and support the transformation.
This role will have responsibilities for the following:
• Building out a team of Finance Consultants aligned to the different compute and hosting environments along with a team of Data Scientist who together are responsible for the overall creation target pricing and chargebacks use to support forecasting and optimization of overall spend.
• Build the necessary data to support the hosting cost analysis which will be foundational to the Hosting Strategy transformation. Requires ensuring the right data is sourced to establish proper total cost of ownership for existing portfolio along with options for go-forward environments.
• Review compute product unit rates to ensure availability of proper charge back data that is transparent and actionable.
• Create and present decks/presentations to senior management that clearly articulate the financial strategies along with providing insights/recommendations.
• Partner across the Technology and Finance organization to drive change and significant transformation. Present necessary information to help influence and ensure buy-in from key strategic partners.
• Define and maintain and refine key metrics and performance indicators measuring efficiency progress of approved strategies.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to senior management on a frequent basis.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness in all financial reporting and presentations.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, engineering, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Other Desired Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience as a senior finance, leader working in a large bank environment.
• Demonstrated success and mastery managing in a matrixed environment
• Extensive experience analyzing and/or supporting project portfolios and indirect expense allocations to main business units.
• A highly effective, consultative leader with an executive presence and personal credibility as a result of demonstrated integrity, negotiation and financial management acumen, and effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• A leader who operates with a collaborative management style, is execution-focused, and results oriented.
• Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain a highly engaged, high performing, and diverse team.
• Exceptional track record of delivering results.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change, develop cutting edge, innovative solutions, build effective partnerships, and manage cross-functional projects in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus.
• Experience in developing financial projections and establishing financial goals.
• Experience with cost benefit analysis on projects/initiatives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to coherently present complex financial topics tailored to audiences of varying seniority and functions in order to create understanding and influence decisions.
