Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer in our Chandler, AZ facility for the Next Generation Interceptor program.
Job responsibilities will be focused primarily on and require detailed knowledge of EEE parts/components. Those responsibilities will include:
General EEE component plans/procedures for parts procurement and screenings to meet company standards/requirements. Support supply source selection and procurement efforts. Evaluate/adapt customer screening/qualification requirements.
Support customer and vendor screening issues/failures and failure investigations, including failure lab involvement. Support component test data review, lot sample destructive parts analyses and prohibited materials analyses.
Review SOWs and contractual documents to identify EEE parts requirements, viable alternative solutions, and support proposals/cost estimates/schedules for EEE component selections, and be able to define/flow those requirements to suppliers and customer PMPCBs for approval to use in vehicle design.
Critical skill sets: provide/give clear and concise written oral reports to technical teams/management, strong knowledge of EEE parts including hermetic components and plastic encapsulated devices and their governing industry standards and military specifications, strong collaboration skills.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of industry experience, 3 years with a Masters.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, a current Secret Clearance is preferrerable. - US Citizenship is required.
Salary Range: 79400 - 119200
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
