Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ
OpenTeQ Technologies, a rapidly growing software engineering services firm, offers an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced sales leader. This executive-level position will be responsible for new client acquisition, complete customer relationship and care, and growth of our nearshore /offshore software development and test services business.
As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibilities will be:
- The primary function of this position is to acquire and manage clients in the successful realization of their software development needs.
- Develop and execute a Business Development Strategy leveraging your existing vendor and customer contacts, as well as past experience of meeting and exceeding sales quotas and annual revenue targets for software services
- Sell against and develop & maintain relationships at the "C", "VP" and "Director" levels.
- This position will be responsible for the entire life cycle of the client relationship; lead generation and prospecting, acquisition (including creating proposals and negotiating the contract), execution and delivery oversight, relationship management, and long-term growth.
- The position requires a working knowledge of software project management, as well as familiarity with modern software development technologies and processes.
- The position requires mastery in quickly assessing a potential client's needs and developing solutions that leverage our software development team skills and provide the client with the best value proposition.
- Preference will be given to candidates with proven success in solution-based sales, existing applicable customer relationships, a portfolio of possible candidate customers, and experience in selling software services.
- Proactively generate new qualified leads that lead to converted sales opportunities through new and existing business efforts.
- Exposure to onsite and offshore IT services delivery model (Indian offshore model is desired)
- Willing to travel across North America (US, Canada)
Required Skills:
- Experience successfully selling to C-level executives and VPs of Technology / Engineering / Software
- Strong presentation skills (in-person and virtually)
- Proven success selling service-based solutions; including understanding client problems, suggesting solutions, participating in and contributing to technical conversations, and documenting assumptions, requirements, etc.
- Recent experience or familiarity with modern software design, development, and test methodologies and technologies (.NET, Java, Android, IOS, LAMP, etc)
- Ability and willingness to write proposals and negotiate contracts
- 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience
- Must have a home office with high-speed internet, mobile phone, etc.
