Job description
Position Summary
The Business Development Representative role is the first point of contact for many of our new customers. This team spends much of their day on the phone calling small business owners who are not currently Fullbay customers, to set them up for our Account Execute sales teams who will consult with those business owners and help them become customers. The Sales Development team is politely persistent and cheerfully competitive.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of outbound calls daily to cold & warm prospects (75+ per day)
- Quickly assess the quality of a prospect to determine the viability of sales opportunities
- Qualifying, and scheduling demos for potential Fullbay customers
- Following up with a high volume of leads quickly
- Documenting various detail like customer profiles, responses, and next steps
- Actively listen to understand what customers need and confidentiality communicating Fullbay's value proposition
- Prioritizing opportunities and applying appropriate resources
- Researching, developing, and implementing sales strategies and tactics to drive more demos
- Become an expert on our technology and our target markets
- Achieve monthly metrics, and weekly and daily targets
- Build strong networks in and outside the Fullbay organization
- Collaborate with the team to improve our processes and add efficiencies for the team
- Adapt to changes in your process - we are always testing new ideas
Skills and Qualifications
Abilities and Knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced SaaS Environment
- Track record of success and over-achievement (in work or school based setting)
- Experience using Sales engagement tools: Outreach, Sales Loft, Salesforce, Yesware, (we use Outreach and Salesforce)
- A team player who enjoys wearing multiple hats and inspiring everyone around you to do great work
- Technically proficient and experienced with web technologies (able to present pros/cons, use cases/examples, trends, and all that good stuff)
- Great at communicating on the phone, over email, and in-person
- Ability to think on your feet to creatively solve our prospects' business needs
- Exceptional and persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable meeting and exceeding monthly quotas and handling rejections
- Must have a positive attitude, confident, and desire to be the best
- Strong organization and time management skills and ability to work independently
Education and Experience
Required:
- GED or High School Diploma
- 1-2 Years in similar sales or development role required
Preferred:
- Experience with Outreach or Salesforce.com
- Bachelor's Degree or Military Service
