We are seeking Business Development Officers (BDO) who will be responsible for cultivating relationships with prospects and generating new clients for PHD Financial. Applicants should have an existing book of business or COI network.

As a BDO, you will be reaching out to clients in need of one or more of the services we provide, including:

  • Commercial loans- Conventional, SBA, USDA, CMBS, and Private Equity (Proceeds may be used for Purchases, Refinances, New Construction, Conversions, Renovations, Working Capital, Partner Buyouts, DPOs, and other eligible uses of funds)
  • Debt Workouts or Restructuringfor distressed, underperforming, undervalued, or overleveraged commercial properties
  • Commercial Real Estate Brokerage- sellers looking to list their properties and/or finance a buyer

There are countless business owners who are in need of our services, within a wide range of industries. PHD Financial has specialized in hospitality, but we have worked with many different property types including restaurants, retail, apartment buildings, multifamily, gas stations, car washes, etc. While hospitality clients are fine, we are expanding into other markets and are looking for the right BDOs to facilitate this growth.

You might already be attending trade shows or are working in sales, and if so, this position is a great way to make more money from the contacts you've already met.

This is a commission-based, independent contractor position. You can work as many or as few hours as you like. We are a nationwide firm, so you can generate clients from any state. Depending on your location and expertise, you may be provided a protected territory in which you will be the only BDO. No matter what, you will have the benefit of our brand with free business cards, website presence, extensive references and our history of closed deals. You will also be able to use our proprietary marketing material, including video advertisements, to assist in finding new clients.

We are paying high commissions and bonuses, and provide ongoing training and support. We set you up for success.

Specific Role:

The BDO will establish a relationship with a client, obtain basic information on their needs, and refer them to a PHD executive for the signing of a representation agreement. Depending on the deal, the BDO will be paid a commission once the client signs a contract with PHD Financial, or upon the closing of the deal. Commissions are tiered and increase depending on the monthly and annual volume of contracted deals. Bonuses are offered from Day 1 and are based on specific volume and deal size targets. Successful BDOs will be offered additional training and promotion to Senior BDMs.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Should have an existing COI network and knowledge in at least one market
