Essential Duties:

• Prepares and monitors annual budget and the expenses for the Engineering areas.

• Implements policies and procedures for the Engineering Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services.

• Conducts walkthroughs of all locations throughout the facility to evaluate the overall physical condition and operation.

• Assures compliance with codes and other regulatory requirements.

• Verifies completion of routine maintenance tasks for guest and public areas, as well as repairs, projects, and rehabs of offices and associate areas.

• Communicates with the General Manager and department managers regarding the status of facilities and projects that are in process.

• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Engineering Manager, Lead Engineering Technician, Engineering Technician, Painter, Fleet Mechanic, Carpenter, Electrician, HVAC Technician, Plumber, Security and Administrative Assistant.

• Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs.

• Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.

• Communicates any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.

• Conducts staff meetings with subordinates.

• Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.

• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

• Attends staff meetings.

• Completes banquet set up in ballroom and on course for all events.
