Job description
Halo Solutions' Higher Education client, Arizona State University (ASU), is seeking a PeopleSoft Systems Analyst / Developer to work full time at ASU's Tempe, Arizona location as part of the University Technology Office's (UTO) team and in support of the university's Financial Aid and Scholarship Services (FASS) office.
In this position you will …
- Be a critical player with the UNIQUE and EXCITING opportunity to work in a hybrid role as both an analyst amongst the functional users and as a developer.
- Work in a PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environment with a focus on the Financial Aid module.
- As an analyst, work closely and collaboratively with the functional users in the Financial Aid and Scholarship Services (FASS) office to comprehend the business requirements, build and maintain business processes, analyze and resolve FASS issues, and be accountable for select FASS business functions.
- As a developer, be responsible for PeopleSoft application software development, programming, modifications, testing, and installation to meet business requirements and to ensure ongoing operational efficiency.
- Be either a junior-level or senior-level analyst/developer performing same general tasks with same responsibilities at varying levels of expertise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Work experience and understanding of financial aid systems AND/OR
- Work experience and understanding of financial aid business processes AND/OR
- At least two (2) years systems or programming experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions/technology stack OR other financial aid systems AND/OR
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Financial Aid business processes including knowledge of ISIRs and verification, Communications, Awarding, Budgeting and Disbursement.
- Experience using the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Financial Aid module; however other Financial Aid system experience will be considered.
- Experience with the planning, testing and implementation of system patches and upgrades.
- Experience with relational databases including the ability to read & write SQL statements with complex joins.
- Ability to read, modify, and create Application Engine, and PeopleCode program logic.
- Solid understanding of data structure/algorithms including, but not limited to: Arrays, Queues, Trees, Sorting.
- An understanding of XML, JSON, Web-services using SOAP/REST, and creating integrations utilizing PeopleSoft Integration technologies.
- Knowledge of or experience with PeopleSoft FLUID page development.
