Parker and Lynch is actively seeking an Audit Senior with 2+ years' public accounting experience and supervisory experience for a full-time position at a well-established accounting company. Your Responsibilities:

  • Execute the day-to-day duties of audit engagements including fieldwork, preparing of financial statements with disclosures.
  • Documenting, validating, testing, and assessing various control systems.
  • Coordinate client interactions and ensure efficient information flow from the client to the audit team
  • Participate in reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required
  • MBA/Master's degree in accountancy preferred
  • 2+ years prior work experience in public accounting or 4+ years professional accounting experience working for companies in general industry required
  • 1+ years supervisory experience preferred
  • 2+ years prior experience with employee benefit plans strongly preferred
  • CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of CPA licensing required
  • Other relevant license/certifications (i.e. CEBS, QPA) strongly preferred

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of internal accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.)
  • Strong understanding and experience planning and coordinating the stages to perform an audit of a basic public and/or private company
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to break down complex issues and implement appropriate resolutions
  • ERISA: Understanding of the Department of Labor rules and regulations for reporting and disclosure for qualified retirement and health and welfare benefit plans
  • IRC: Understanding of compliance and testing requirements related to employee benefit plans

Software:

  • Experience in the use of various assurance applications and research tools preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Employment type:

  • Full-time

Compensation:

  • $70k - $79k USD
