Job description

Parker and Lynch is looking for an Experienced Audit Associate with 1+ years' public or private accounting experience and supervisory experience for a full-time position at a well-established accounting company. Your Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements with disclosures
  • Apply basic areas of GAAP as necessary
  • Documenting, validating, testing, and assessing various control systems
  • Participate in reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required
  • MBA/Master's degree in accountancy preferred
  • 1+ years prior work experience in public or private accounting required
  • Accounting based internship beneficial
  • CPA preferred
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment required and actively pursuing completion of the exams required

Skills:

  • Knowledge of internal accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.)
  • Basic understanding and experience planning and coordinating the stages to perform an audit of a basic public and/or private company
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as needed, required
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to break down complex issues and implement appropriate resolutions
  • Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment while maintaining focus on details and accuracy

Software:

  • Experience in the use of various assurance applications and research tools preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Employment type:

  • Full-time

Compensation:

  • $60k - $65k USD
