The American Paper & Twine Team is looking for an experienced CDL LOCAL DELIVERY ROUTE TRUCK DRIVER based out of Fayetteville, AR. This position has unique autonomy with a combination of logistics and local warehousing. This new position will remotely report to our Little Rock, AR operation for management in the interim. As we are looking to expand our business in the Fayetteville area, this position could transition to overseeing Warehouse Operations and/or Driver responsibilities.


Schedule:

The position is Monday-Friday only from 7:30AM-4PM with no night or weekend commitments.


Pay:

Starting rates up to $23/hour, based on experience. Paid weekly a guarantee of 40 hours.


**SIGN-ON BONUS OF $500 FOR QUALIFIED DRIVERS** (half paid at 90 days and remainder paid at 180 days)


Job Description:

• Ability to safely operate for lift and cherry picker.

• Ensure warehouse safety and housekeeping procedures are followed.

• Deliver janitorial, packaging, food service disposables, and office products to customers.

• Interact with customers to obtain payment, signatures, and returned goods by verifying piece count and giving receipts in a courteous and professional manner.

• Keep driving records (i.e. mileage, pre & post-trip inspection, and daily driver log).

• Perform vehicle inspection and maintenance morning and afternoon (i.e. vehicle inspections, filling tires with air, lights in working order, adding fluids, etc.).

• Obtain special delivery instructions or other information requested by customers and communicate them to Driver Supervisor and routing personnel.

• Ensure all returned goods and paperwork, i.e., packing lists and return goods authorization are returned to the Shipping Supervisor.

• Ability to interact with customers via phone or in-person in a professional manner.

Job Skills & Requirements:

• Have a valid CDL A or B with Hazmat preferred.

• Have Box Truck Experience

• Be at least 21 years of age

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required

• Possess a clean MVR and criminal background.

• Stable work history preferred

• Must be able to pass and maintain valid DOT physical, including random drug screens.

• Ability to operate and complete an electric pallet jack certification.

• Ability to complete Hazmat certifications.

• Conform to Department of Transportation regulations.

• Ability to use a tablet and other electronic devices pertinent to the job.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.

• Ability to stand and be in motion at all times. Flexible enough to walk, twist, bend, stoop, pull, grip, and lift merchandise.

• Ability to pull up to 2200 lbs. using a pallet jack and pull or push up to 200 lbs. using a two-wheeler.

• Must be presentable, professional, and courteous to customers

Drivers are responsible for the accurate and efficient delivery of goods, but they must also be safe, ensure quality standards are met, and professionally solve customer concerns in the field. Our drivers are expected to be presentable, professional, and courteous at all times. This is a physical, fast-paced, indoor/outdoor position with heavy lifting at times.
